The Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate: what carers need to know
A new Ofqual-regulated qualification built on the 16 Care Certificate standards, recognised across the sector, and your employer can claim funding.
InLine Care Team · 19/10/2026

There's a new qualification for adult social care workers: the Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate. It's regulated by Ofqual and built on the 16 Care Certificate standards. Because it's recognised across the sector, you shouldn't have to repeat the same training every time you change jobs. Your employer can claim up to £1,540 towards it through government funding, so ask your manager about it.
